Houseboats
Canada Houseboat Vacations have a number of boats to enjoy your vacation. The boats are larger than most providing lots of space. The smaller of the boats is 52' x 12' that can sleep 8 people with 2 double beads and 5 single beds or a different configuration with 4 double beds and 2 single beds. The largest of the boat is 65' x 20' that features 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 7 double beds and 6 single beds that will sleep up to 12 people. In addition each houseboat is equipped with:

Rental Periods
Boats are available for rent for 3, 4 and 7 nights.
Experience Required
Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat, safety requirements, how to read maps, buoys and channel markets. For the first time someone may join you down the lake to ensure you are comfortable with the houseboat. You must be 21 years of age or older to rent or operate the houseboat.
Licensing
You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

Linens
Linens are not included however if more convenient for you linen packages which include sheets, towels, face cloths, pillows and blankets are available at $20.00 per person.
Pets
Pets are not generally allowed however there may be exceptions at an extra charge. Contact Canada Houseboat Vacations to discuss your situation.
Additional Costs
There are a number of additional costs that you should budget for such as fuel. Costs will depend on the duration of your trip and the distance traveled. Each operator has different policies and should be discussed directly with them.

Local Weather
May to October weather for Nestor Falls, on Lake of the Woods, Ontario, in half-month steps (days 1–15 and 16 through the end of the month). Air, precipitation, and wet days use nearby Barwick observations, about 54 km away (climate ID 6020559).
- Each tile is one half-month from May through October. Early is days 1–15. Late is day 16 through the end of the month. Every tile shows a value.
- Air temperature, precipitation, and wet-day percentage are 2021–2025 daily averages from Environment and Climate Change Canada, Barwick (climate ID 6020559). High and low are the average of each year’s half-month mean, so each year counts equally. A year is included for a variable only when that half-month was observed on at least 80% of its days. Precipitation is the mean of each included year’s half-month total; missing days are not filled in. A wet day has at least 0.2 mm, among precipitation observations in the years included for that half-month. Days flagged missing are left out.

- Precipitation is liquid equivalent (rain plus the water in any snow), in millimetres per half-month.
- Sunshine is not biweekly. Barwick does not publish bright sunshine. Each month’s existing normal is repeated on both of that month’s tiles. Those hours are 1981–2010 normals from Rawson Lake (climate ID 6036904), in the Experimental Lakes Area about 60 km from Nestor Falls and about 75 km from Morson, not a 2021–2025 average.
- 46 days in the included half-months are flagged as a trace (under 0.2 mm). A trace counts as dry and adds nothing to the half-month total.
