Shuswap Lake, located in south-central British Columbia is at the midway point (approximately 5 hour drive) between Vancouver, B.C. and Calgary, Alberta. Known for its recreational activities you will enjoy hundreds of kilometers of stunning shoreline and scenery, beautiful sandy beaches and numerous facilities and services.
Due to the popularity of Shuswap Lake and the houseboats it is recommend to reserve your houseboat 6 months to a year in advance.

Twin Anchors Houseboats have a large fleet of six luxury models to choose from to meet your needs that can sleep from 6 to 24 people. All houseboats feature great luxuries and amenities to ensure you enjoy the perfect vacation. Each houseboat includes:

Experience Required
Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat that will take about 45 minutes. There are manuals available on their website as well as some instructional videos that are recommended to be reviewed before your arrival. Taking the time to review the materials will ensure you are well informed and prepared with any questions. All captains must be 19 years of age or older and hold a valid driver’s license.
Licensing
You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

Linens are not included however if you require them the cost is $20 per bed, per day, each bed sleeping two people.

May to October weather for Sicamous, British Columbia, in half-month steps (days 1–15 and 16 through the end of the month). Air, precipitation, and wet days use nearby Salmon Arm CS observations, about 26 km away (climate ID 116FRMN).
- Each tile is one half-month from May through October. Early is days 1–15. Late is day 16 through the end of the month. Every tile shows a value.
- Air temperature, precipitation, and wet-day percentage are 2021–2025 daily averages from Environment and Climate Change Canada, Salmon Arm CS (climate ID 116FRMN). High and low are the average of each year’s half-month mean, so each year counts equally. A year is included for a variable only when that half-month was observed on at least 80% of its days. Precipitation is the mean of each included year’s half-month total; missing days are not filled in. A wet day has at least 0.2 mm, among precipitation observations in the years included for that half-month. Days flagged missing are left out.
- Temperature and precipitation leave out late May 2022 (11 of 16 days), early August 2022 (11 of 15 days), and early October 2024 (11 of 15 days). Missing days in an included half-month are not filled in. The largest gap in an included half-month is 3 days, in late May 2025 and early June 2024.
- Salmon Arm Airport (climate ID 1166R45) daily record ends 30 October 2017. It is one half of the documented Salmon Arm composite. These averages use Salmon Arm CS (climate ID 116FRMN), about 4 km from the airport and about 26 km from Sicamous.
- Precipitation is liquid equivalent (rain plus the water in any snow), in millimetres per half-month.
- Sunshine is not biweekly. Salmon Arm CS does not publish bright sunshine, and the 1991–2020 normals do not include that row. Each month’s existing normal is repeated on both of that month’s tiles. Those hours are 1981–2010 normals from Salmon Arm Airport (climate ID 1166R45), not a 2021–2025 average.
- Tile temperatures are rounded to the nearest degree.
