Kipawa Houseboats were located on Kipawa Lake, north of Temiscaming, Quebec, approximately four hours north of Toronto. This beautiful area provides rustic beauty where you will be able to enjoy peace and quiet and enjoy amazing fishing for lake trout, pike and walleye. You will be able to experience sandy beaches and hiking through the trails. During the evenings you may be lucky enough to experience the northern lights while listening to the quiet sounds of the wilderness.

Since Kipawa Lake is a series of smaller lakes there are many areas to explore. To assist you the boat comes equipped with a GPS.
 



Houseboats:

There are two houseboats available that can accommodate up to 8 people comfortably and have a fully equipped kitchen, furnace, waterslide and BBQ. A full list of what is included is available on their website.
 


Rental Periods:

Rentals are based on a per day basis with a minimum rental period of 4 days.


Experience Required:

Previous experience is not required. You will be provided instruction on operating the houseboat, safety requirements, how to read maps etc. The captain of the boat must be 21 years of age or older.


Licensing:

You do not require a boating license (Pleasure Craft Operator Card) to rent a houseboat. Prior to departure you will be provided a safety checklist for review. Be sure to ask any questions if you are not sure. Once completed you will be issued a temporary license that is good for your trip. You will need to keep this document readily available if request by officials.

Linens are not included and you should plan to bring sheets and blankets.


Pets:

Pets are not allowed.


Additional Costs:

There are a number of additional costs that you should budget for during your vacation and will depend on the duration of your trip and the distance traveled. Each operator has different policies and should be discussed directly with them. Some costs will or may include:
